Joanna was born and raised in rural Montana. She started out at as a birth assist at the Family Birth Center in 2016 and soon returned to school. Joanna obtained her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Montana State University in 2021. In winter of 2021, she returned back to school, Frontier Nursing University (FNU), in hopes of obtaining her Master's degree in midwifery.
Joanna has had a passion to care for others, and even more so, for birth. Her own birthing experiences created a deep desire in her that all women should have the opportunity for safe and holistic midwifery care based on the midwifery model of shared decision making, holistic care, and less interventions.
In her spare time, Joanna loves the outdoors, gardening, hiking, DIY projects, watching her boys play sports, or any activities with family and friends.

Jen was born and raised with one younger sister right here in Great Falls. Jen graduated from Great Falls Central in 2013 and immediately started working. She worked at the Heritage for almost 9 years, starting as a barista while working her way up to a bar supervisor, all the while, helping in various departments. Jen joined the Gentle Beginnings Family as a receptionist in early 2022 and has since taken over the billing responsibilities. Jen met her husband, Travis, back in 2011 where they immediately hit it off and eventually got married in September 2022. Together they have two dogs, that happen to be brother and sister! When not working you can find these two and the dogs out fishing, almost every weekend of the year rain, snow, or shine. Some of their other hobbies include road tripping, exploring new places, attending concerts, attending live sporting events, or completing home projects.
